The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting for a portion of MPT’s international properties and joint ventures in accordance with U.S. GAAP, taking into consideration entries that have been booked by our Luxembourg accounting team under Lux GAAP. He or she will be viewed as an expert on his or her properties: (a) knowing the leases, (b) understanding the accounting and how business decisions impact the accounting, and (c) coordinating the various departments within MPT as it relates to the properties he or she manages. The Senior Accountant will be required to track certain non-routine activities, such as interest payments, annual filings, audit deliverables, etc. to ensure such activities are done timely. The Senior Accountant will also assist with accounting for acquisitions/disposals and the preparation of quarterly reporting as needed for SEC filings.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting | CPA designation preferred | 2 years of relevant experience
The Senior of Accounting, Domestic is responsible for properly accounting for a portion of the domestic properties of MPT; including being viewed as the expert on their properties: (a) knowing the leases, (b) understanding the accounting (and how business decisions could impact our accounting), and (c) coordinating with various departments within MPT as it relates to the properties they manage. The Senior Accountant also assists with the accounting for acquisitions/disposals, preparations of quarterly/ad hoc reporting as needed for SEC filings, and reviews and applies changes in US GAAP.

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for full cycle, high volume cash duties including accounts payable and cash receipts. Accounts payable responsibilities include entering invoices into the payment system, coding to appropriate properties and general ledger accounts, routing to appropriate workflows per Company approval policy, and preparing and processing checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers. Cash receipt responsibilities include reviewing daily bank transactions, applying cash to open charges, and setting up journal entries as needed. This role will also assist with weekly and monthly cash reporting and monthly general ledger closing activities, along with other duties as needed to assist domestic and international property accounting teams.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
This position will support the Managing Director, Tax and Manager of Accounting, Tax with tax compliance and reporting responsibilities of the Company’s domestic subsidiaries. This position will be responsible for managing risk across the organization by maintaining various business licenses and annual reports. Other responsibilities will include the preparation and/or coordination of all direct and indirect tax compliance requirements as well as managing and responding to tax notices.
Degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration or Finance | CPA designation preferred | Master’s Degree in Accounting/ Taxation or MBA is preferred
